Tianran Liu

Tian completed her first law degree from the prestigious Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China. After settling in Australia, Tian studied Juris Doctor degree program at the University of New South Wales and graduated in 2019. She has been admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of New South Wales the following year. Tian is fluent in both English and Mandarin languages, hence equipped with a thorough understanding of both legal systems and cultures.

Tian’s current practicing focus is on immigration law dealing particularly with some complex immigration matters. As a migrant herself, Tian has experience with the Department of Home Affairs both as an applicant, and as a lawyer advocating for clients. Tian’s experience ranges from general immigration matters (family visas, refugee/humanitarian visas, employer-sponsored and skilled visas) to AAT review matters and Judicial review matters.

Tian also undertakes legal work for clients in Property law, Family Law as well as in other legal areas including Will and Probate. Her attention to detail and results-oriented approach have won substantial praise from her clients, colleagues, and peers.
